Case Study #2

Lakehouse Contractors were appointed to lay new tarmac to large areas alongside other associated building work around the school.

Date: September 2010

Client: St Mary Magdalene School, Woolwich, London SE18

Contractor: Lakehouse Contracts Ltd, Romford, Essex

Location: Woolwich, London

Site Details: Paths and surrounding play areas to main buildings

Area: Approx. 1000sq metres

Problem:- After new areas of tarmac had been laid prior to completion of the overall refurbishment project, additional ground excavations and building had to be undertaken. This caused many areas of the new tarmac becoming cement stained and unsightly. The excavation channels were also filled in making the overall finish of the tarmac very patchy.
Solution:- To solve these problems and once all options available had been looked into, Lakehouse Contracts decided to use Tarmaseal tarmac paint to 'mask' all the patchy stains and create a uniform finish as requested by the client.

"We were delighted with the end result, and would happily use the product again. We would certainly recommend Tarmaseal tarmac paint to our clients and other potential users in the future." ~ James Kemp, Lakehouse Contracts
